Turkey Chili Con Carne


An easy to make version of chili using turkey. Given to me by Barbara, a long time friend.
Serves 4

Ingredients:
1 large onion, chopped medium
1 clove of garlic, minced
1-1/2 lbs of turkey
2 cans of kidney beans
2 cans of tomato soup
Salt and pepper to taste
1 bell pepper, chopped
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Directions:
1. Saute onion, garlic and Bell pepper in oil.
2. Add ground turkey and stir until cooked through.
3. Add beans, soup and seasonings.
4. Place in a 2 qt casserole and bake at 300 degrees F for 1 hour.

Notes:
1. Do not drain the juice from the beans, just use everything.
2. Ground beef can be substituted for the turkey.
